I was never enough for you,

I wished that I was what you wanted,

I promised to be different,

But my soul kept me haunted.

The problem was always you,

Yet you made me feel unwanted,

Manipulation, trickeries, frame ups was all you knew,

There wasn’t a time you halted.

I finally let go,

Let my inner child glow,

I was always enough,

A thousand times enough.

Now I see myself in mirror,

Shadow that I thought was lost forever,

I call it ‘YOU’,

Something I want to pursue.

You remind me of simple things that bring me joy,

You remind me of home,

You remind me of love and light,

You remind me reasons I am not alone.
